Form-up position: Stirling Castle Esplanade
Arrive: 5:00pm onwards / Form-up time: 6:00pm / March-off time: 7:00pm
The parade is split into four sections: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta. Each section has a different forming-up area within the Castle Esplanade. Each section is split into a number of blocks. Pipe Bands and Clans are advised to march FOUR abreast.
The parade order and instructions will be available at least ten days before the event and published on this site and emailed to registered players before the event.
The key point is to arrive in plenty of time to tune-up and form-up. The views from the Castle Esplanade are fantastic, we have had 700 years to practice please do not be late!

Pipefest gets set to welcome thousands of pipers, drummers, Highland dancers and Clan representatives to Scotland, marking the 700th Anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn and celebrating Homecoming 2014.
Pipefest Stirling takes place on 27 June 2014 and is supported by Homecoming Scotland, The Famous Grouse Experience and Stirling Council. The parade will start from the gates of Stirling Castle and proceed through the City of Stirling and will be led by Pipe Major Ian Duncan and the Atholl Highlanders – Europe’s only private army!
Tourism Minister Fergus Ewing said: “Next year’s Homecoming Scotland 2014 is the opportunity for us to show off everything that’s great about our country.
“Pipefest Scotland is an exciting addition to the packed programme of events and we invite participants and visitors from around the globe to take part in the parade.
“Commemorating the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn comes on top of the momentum that’s been building through next year’s Ryder Cup and Commonwealth Games with these key events expected to bring 70,000 visitors to Scotland and generate £44m in additional tourism revenue.”
Stirling’s Provost Mike Robbins said: “We are delighted that Stirling is playing host to this international event and we look forward to welcoming visitors from home and afar to what promises to be a lively, musical and multicultural day. The sight of thousands of pipers and other musicians marching through the city will be an amazing sight and a perfect way to mark the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn.”
